Fred Beans Hyundai of Doylestown contributed to a $300,000 grant distributed through Hyundai Hope on Wheels to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Fred Beans Hyundai of Doylestown General Manager Paul Zolnierz recently joined other Greater Philadelphia area Hyundai dealers to present the funding to Dr. Haley Newman, an attending physician with the Cancer Center at CHOP, in support of pediatric cancer research.
Grants provided by Hyundai Hope on Wheels, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fighting pediatric cancer through research and public awareness, are funded with support from Hyundai Motor America and Hyundai dealers nationwide. The partnership ensures that a portion of new Hyundai vehicle sales is set aside for Hyundai Hope on Wheels grants.
“September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, which gives us an opportunity to share how every new vehicle we sell at Fred Beans Hyundai of Doylestown helps fund important research necessary to end childhood cancer,” said Zolnierz. “It also is a time to spotlight the need for ongoing support and awareness of the efforts of physicians and research professionals who are working to prevent cancer and improve the quality of life and survival rates of young patients.”
Zolnierz represented Fred Beans Automotive Group at the check presentation, which also included the Hyundai Hope on Wheels “Handprint Ceremony” capturing pediatric patients’ handprints in paint. The handprints are eventually placed on Hyundai cars used to raise awareness of the program. Fred Beans Hyundai dealerships display the vehicles and other Hyundai Hope on Wheels signage proudly in showrooms.
